My Dear katie,

God will richly bless you as you do his work. I know it will be one of the most wonderful months of your life.

I'll be praying for you and your fellow missionaries.

Hi honey,
Just to reassure you, I got an application for baby-sitting services today from a female, who says she specializes in adolescent fish .... I believe she said her name was Abbi. I think we're covered, sweetie! Enjoy Uganda!
Love, Mom

Well Mom,

I had a long talk with Abbi today, and as much as I appreciate her enthusiasm and willingness to share her aquatic expertise, I've decided against hiring her for the following reasons:

1. She really doesn't have a whole lot of "hands-on" experience ;)

2. She's only nine

3. I looked over her application, and she's already being taken to trial on charges of harassment... and Killer's testifying in court against her

4. Jorge doesn't like the way she looks at him... he says it makes him feel uncomfortable

I encouraged Abbi to continue applying, however, and not get discouraged; I know there are plenty of employers out there that believe in affirmative action and would love to have a sleek little go-getter like her working for them! ;)

love!
